i want to buy my friends old iphone 5. i have a pay as you go plane and was wondering if i eould be able to use it as a Verizon phone or if the phone is only usable through sprint?

Our devices would be made specifically for our network so another carriers device may have compatibility issues, but we can check to be sure.
