Hi, I will be travelling later this year to a rural town in the U.S. where my carrier does not have service but Verizon does. Would it be possible to get an Verizon Prepaid SIM card (for my unlocked phone) and an unlimited plan with service for just the month when I will be travelling only? Or must I keep service for a certain period? Meaning, I would cancel it after leaving. Thanks!

Esills, we're excited to hear you're looking to use our Prepaid Service for a month. We want to be sure you get the service you need for your upcoming trip. The great thing about Prepaid service, is that you can easily pay for a month of service. Once you pay for the first month, you can stop any further payments and the Prepaid account will automatically close after 60 days.
As for the phone, you'll want to check to ensure it works with our network. Here's a link to help check your phone's device ID (IMEI number). The same link is also used to start service whenever you're ready. You can also pick up a free Verizon Wireless sim card at a corporate Verizon Wireless store. This way you're ready for the trip. Here's another link to help find the nearest store.
