I'm shopping for a prepaid carrier/phone/plan, and one of the criteria is to be able to make
the occasional phone call FROM Canada, mostly in Alberta province. On the Verizon web
site, Canadian coverage is split into CDMA (green) and 3G (red). Alberta is all red. Does this
mean that a 3G phone is required, or that a 3G phone will work there as well as a CDMA
phone? It appears that all the Verizon prepaid phones are CDMA only.
