For the most part I enjoy being on Verizon's Prepaid my only major gripes are:
- Not being able to receive video messages
- Not being able to send picture messages over Wifi
- Limited data
Those are my gripes as of now everything else is great and I enjoy the service

My LG G2 auto shrinks most short HD clips. However, to send a clip successfully, you need to create the clip from within the message app. My video app lets me choose QVGA (better) or QCIF (worse.) Both allow up to 60 sec. There's no possible way for my phone (or many others) to send a 13MP 1080P 60FPS video via message.

To be honest, I have the Prepaid Plans space set to show in my connections stream and inbox, but this post never showed up.
I get and can send video messages.
Verizon Messages+ and Google Hangouts will send over WiFi.
Limited Data is part of the Prepay game.

How do you send video messages? Everytime I try I get a error message that the file is to large?

So how exactly do I create the clip in the messaging app? Lol I am not very good at figuring this stuff out.

Go to message app. Click the attach button. Choose "record video." Or something similar.

Oh ok I have to record the video from the messaging app and not just upload a video already saved.

Yes, because unless it is a 5-15 sec low quality clip, it will not attach being a pre-recorded video.

I think it is a swell idea. Really. I mean, you buy a car then you buy gas elsewhere. No one buys a car from a gas station right?

I would like to think so. It is possible that Verizon will try to push more people into no-contract postpaid. How will they do that you might ask? Well, you can already use an out of contract phone or a BYOD phone on Prepaid. The selection of prepaid phones isn't too extensive as far as prepaid-price-range phones go, and the ones that are, are older now and not that awesome. There is no incentive really, for most people, to go to prepaid and buy a full price phone unless their credit is just non-existent and they cannot get on the DPP on postpaid plans. And still you have to buy full-price outright on prepaid anyway. I don't look for Verizon to do very much with prepaid anymore. After all, a big part of prepaid was no contract, and with the new no-contract plans...yeah, you see.?.
One might think that maybe more data might be added to a prepay selection, but I doubt the price would drop for any reason.

Really disappointed with the Verizon prepaid plans. You have very limited selection on phones that you can use. If you upgrade to a smartphone you have to switch your plan to include data. Really believe that T-Mobile has better prepaid plans and more phones to choose from. Would switch over to T-Mobile but have no coverage.

I'm sorry, but a plan with no coverage IS NOT a better plan no matter how inexpensive it is.
