Does Cruise Daily Pass only work for postpaid lines?

I'm excited to be taking a cruise with family members next year, but as a prepaid customer, doesn't look like Cruise Daily Pass will work for me? There's a Travel Pass option for when in port (Cruise Daily Pass only works while at sea), but I'm starting to think I might be better off just shutting off my phone completely and taking out the SIM card so I don't get billed for Pay As You Go roaming?

That would be correct, the pass is for contract services at the moment. You can always bye Wi-Fi pass for the cruise, or have you considered switching over to a contract service? Getting trade ins, Insurance, and plan perks, plus International services as well. https://www.verizon.com/shop/.

I've thought about going postpaid to see if that would at least help my getting 5G service more often, but as a very light data user who still lives on her PC way more than her phone, it's not really worth the extra money. Totally forgot about airplane mode, so guess I will put my phone in airplane mode while at sea and/or shut it off completely. Thanks for the reply.
