I'm not trying to add funds at all. I am trying to update the debit card for the autopay. Old one was cancelled, got a new one and I cannot add it to my Verizon account. How am I supposed to pay my bill? I tried going into a location near me and it turns out absolutely no in person location can help with any plan related problems at all whatsoever.
This is honestly the worst.

Guessing you already tried going to the manage autopay section in your account and it wasn't working... Have you tried cancelling the autopay completely and then starting it back up to see if it will then take the new card number? It sounds like the system is glitching because it still has the old card on file and because it's expired, obviously won't work anymore.
When I enrolled in autopay, was given an automated system number (866) 868-3882 to call and listen for the prompt for whatever button it is to set up autopay. You'll get a text asking you to confirm your enrollment by texting back "enroll" if everything goes well and once you confirm, you're good to go.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

I know how important it would be for me to be able to add funds to my account as well, and Synthpop Addict offers some sound advice. If you're still in need of assistance with this, you're in the right place for help. Please be on the lookout for a private message from us so that we can better assist with account access.
