Have Jetpack, need data

I am from South Africa and will be visiting the US soon. On my last visit to the US, I got a Verizon Jetpack. For thus trip I would like to get a prepaid deal with at least 5GB of data. Will it be possible to use the Jetpack that I already have, or can it only be done for a phone?
