I bought a new Verizon prepaid phone a couple months ago and activated it with a new #, intending to port the phone # I've had for years over to it. I was told this was impossible and I had to return the phone to Walmart, buy a new one, and activate with the # I intended to use. So I did just that. The problem is that I never cancelled autopay, so I am still being charged every month for it. I can't remember the security code I created. I don't remember the actual phone number. I called 2 people when I had that phone activated, but I can only verify ONE of the phone #'s that I called...that's not good enough. Apparently, I need to know both. The acct. is in my name. The credit card that is being used for autopay is in my name. THIS IS NOT ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO CANCEL THE AUTOPAY AND BE REFUNDED MY $48.15???
Apparently my only option is to call my bank and report the charge as FRAUD. Um...hello.... it is not FRAUD...it is my account.....IS IT EVEN LEGAL TO REPORT SOMETHING AS FRAUD IF YOU KNOW IT ISN'T????????????
This is [removed] believable. WTF am I supposed to do now?????????? Just throw away $48.15 every month?????????? Should I get a new credit card # ????
I have been a loyal Verizon customer for the last 10 years. Ready to switch to AT&T if I am forced to change my credit card # to resolve this issue.
Someone please help me!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the sentiment, but we both know this is a lie. I've wasted many hours of my life on the phone with customer service....nothing but misinformation 99% of the time.
