Moving Phones and Numbers from Post-Paid to Pre-Paid

I need some advice on how to get “higher level help” from Verizon.
My challenge:
I have (1) phone on a Verizon pre-paid account –and- (2) phones on a Verizon post-paid account.
I would like to move the (2) phones and their numbers from the post-paid account, over to my Verizon pre-paid account.
Sounds easy right? Or so I thought.
My experience:
Every time I contact Verizon, I get caught in a cycle. I explain my problem, and the pre-paid help department, says, “oh, we don’t port numbers, that’s post-paid, let me transfer you.” Then I get transferred to the post-paid help department. I explain my situation, and they say, “oh we don’t service pre-paid, let me transfer you”. Then I get transferred back to the pre-paid help department. This cycle repeats for as long as I am willing to tolerate it. Would you believe yesterday for 6 hours and 21 different agents? I’ve tried asking for a manager. I’ve tried to explain that I am being trapped in a loop. All to no avail. Everyone seems to jump to the “simple” solution, which is to transfer me to the other department.
No one has given me any reason to believe it can’t be done, or that it is an unreasonable request. The pre-paid website even says you can bring your own Verizon phone.
Has anyone else had a similar issue? How do you break the cycle?

Oh man! Come on, Verizon. Your website says one can transfer from prepaid to postpaid, and I *know* I've seen someone posting in the forums about being able to go back and forth as they've gone from postpaid to prepaid and then back again.
The prepaid accounts have a different nomenclature than postpaid accounts so it's why they can't just tack on your postpaid account to the prepaid one. Searching on Verizon's website about switching around between the 2 says to call 800-225-5499 to get it done. Hopefully that's not the number you've been trying where they're just running you around? If all else fails, the only other ways I can think of to get it accomplished are:
1) Disconnect the 2 postpaid lines, and then reconnect them as prepaid lines...but then you're running the risk of losing the 2 numbers.
2) Port out the 2 postpaid lines to someone else, then port back into Verizon as prepaid lines. Which can cause a totally different issue because your postpaid account is in "winback" status for 2 months, so then they want to port you back in as postpaid! Yikes.

According to a longtime customer (not me) in another thread, you used to be able to do so, but not anymore. Call Inside Sales per Jesse's post above yours as others have confirmed that definitely works.
