We have had a prepaid phone for a few years, have not used it for a while. When we tried to use it today, we had to reactivate it and received a new number. We think this happened because we were on the 3.99/day plan which is no longer an option. Problem: phone says we have a 13.23 balance, online, balance for the new number is -0-. Is there a way to transfer the balance to the account? FYI online does not recognize the old number. Thanks

Sounds like the phone number was inactive for too long and Verizon Wireless has since recycled it for a new customer.
Trying calling customer service and see if they can transfer the balance. However sometimes those balances have expiration dates as well and the funds could be forfeited.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Ann is right about the the number being cancelled. If you do not renew the the account within 60 days after the expiration date the cell number is cancelled. That would be for all the prepaid plans not just the $3.99 plan.
