I am a prepaid customer with an iPhone 8 Plus. I have been having problems with people trying to call me but my phone never rings. It’s happened with more than one person so I’m not sure what’s happening. Can anyone help me?

We know the importance of making sure all of your services work. We'd never want for you to miss any calls. When did you first notice this occur? Do you see this occurring in a specific location (home, work, etc) or in multiple areas? Have you noticed any issues making any calls?

I haven't gooten any calls through but I can call out and text in and out. The calls go to my old phone on straight talk even though everything else transfered. The old phone is broke it rings but i can't answer it

Calls REJECTED, go to voicemail and log as www.newszap.com. Outgoing call to son, multiple consecutive attempts NOT going through. Text to same NOT going through. Issues following most recent update.

We want to make sure you are able to contact your son without any issues, DaneDreams. Let's take a look at what is happening. Does this happen with everyone or just your son only? I know you mentioned that this started after a recent update. Just to clarify, are you referring to an app update or software update? What happens when you try to send a text to your son?

This is absolutely ridiculous. My phone has been doing this off and on for months. It started back tonight. I am getting really frustrated with Verizon to the point that I'm close to switching carriers. Tech support constantly tells me it is fixed. It's not the phone. It's Verizon and that's obvious to just how many people have posted on here having the same issue.

I would like to know what is causing this. My wife has the same issue on her iPhone 8 Plus, where people tell her that they call several times and her phone never rings and it doesn't go to voicemail. What we would like is an answer as to why this is happening. Phone support does not help. Verizon store employees are not helping. My wife is missing important business calls and is not happy. If it continues, she will need to change carriers! I agree that this is ridiculous!

Please help me as well. I've been having the same issue where I am not able to receive calls, but I can make calls and send texts. People on my contacts list will tell me in person that they tried to call me; there were no rings, just straight to voicemail. If they leave a voicemail, I get the voicemail notification, but my phone never rings, and there is no missed call notification afterwards.
Please stop giving us the run-around saying that our business is important to you. You would help us greatly by resolving the issue so that it does not happen again.
I've spent over 2 hours on hold on the phone and on the poorly-designed mobile app chat troubleshooting to no avail.
- I've restarted my phone
- I've reset network connections
- I've made sure the contact is not on blocked list
- I've made sure Do Not Disturb is turned off
- I've made sure phone notifications and ringer toggle are on and at max volume
Please help us with this carrier (not phone) issue.

First time I have a record of voicemail without phone call or notification is June 28, 2020. There is no one else experiencing the issue in this area. The zip code is 78753.
Also, I noticed the URL of this thread includes prepaid-plans; I am on a post-paid plan. Are you able to troubleshoot?

Were you able to get any resolution? I am having the same problem! It started about the same time as yours diid. Some calls come through and others do not. I’ve rebooted and checked all the settings. The same thing starting today for my husband. Our ZIP Code is 25701.

No, I received back-and-forth private messages from Verizon staff that asked me mostly the same questions I already answered on this post. At the end, they wanted me to "authenticate" my account (share some account details with a third party service) to continue troubleshooting. I didn't go through with it so I'm in the same predicament as before.
