Prepaid

My son will be in Alaska for 6 weeks this summer. He will not have Verizon coverage where he is staying so we will use CGI while up there. Will he lose his current Verizon phone number if we skip a month of paying his prepaid Verizon plan?

If you don't renew the prepaid plan, your service will be disconnected and the phone number is at risk of being recycled to someone else after 50 days.  There is a suspend service option, but I'm not quite sure of all the details for prepaid lines.  I think you would be paying a lower rate and the line doesn't work, but it's like a placeholder for you to keep the number.  For postpaid lines, you can suspend for up to 90 days in one year, but for prepaid may be different.  I'd either use live chat or call Prepaid CS at 888-294-6804 to ask.
