I can't afford another rate increase on a fixed income. Does anyone else feel the same?

Having the correct plan for your needs and budget is crucial, and we are here to help. Please tell us, what is your current plan? How many lines do you have?

Hi, your thread's in the Prepaid forum, but I suspect you actually are a postpaid customer on one of the legacy plans and are affected by that $4/month increase?  Given your situation, there are a few options to consider:

-See if you're eligible for the federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) discount

-Switch to a prepaid plan (especially if you don't use much data)

-If you're older and live in Florida, Verizon offers a 55+ discount for older people there, but not elsewhere, unfortunately.  At least one other large carrier does offer 55+ discounts on their postpaid plans everywhere.

-Switch to a budget carrier, of which there are many.  However, service varies from horrible to quite decent depending on the carrier, so read the reviews.  All the budget carriers piggyback off one or more of the "big 3" carriers, so make sure the big company the budget carrier is using has decent service in your area first.
