Slow hotspot and data

every so often my normally amazing connectivity just slows to a crawl Same device, same locations. A few months ago I wahs told they were throttling me because my bill was due soon, which is kind of messed btw, cause I always pay it. But it's been really bad for like 2weeks. I pay for the most expensive plan.

As someone who spends a lot of time on the internet, I can definitely understand how frustrating it can be when it seems to slow down, Ad8chd. Typically, mobile hotspot data is throttled, but only after a specific amount of premium data has been used in accordance to your plan. We would be happy to take a look into this and see if it's a plan limitation, or something we can troubleshoot. Please be on the lookout for a private note from us, so we can better take a look into this concern.

Iโ€™m having the same problem and I pay for the extra hotspot too, Iโ€™m not capped out and I have restarted my devices and Iโ€™m only getting 1mbps have been downloading one game for 3 days now and Iโ€™m only at 25%

Hey there, Jeremiah_98, sorry to hear you're running into an issue with your hotspot speeds! When did you notice the data was running slower than normal? Is this happening only when using the hotspot? Are you noticing slower than normal speeds when browsing the web etc in addition to downloads?

I've had this issue since I got the phone. Once a month my internet and data and hotspot pretty much stopped working. Then I spend two days on the phone being hung up on left on hold told I would be called back and never called back, and when I finally get to talk to somebody and they take care of my problem it turns out that Verizon was throttling my data. This time I haven't been able to get through and it's been like 3 weeks and I'm about to lose my job because I need my internet to work. So I don't know if somebody can maybe solve my problem for good or what. I'm in the mountains and unfortunately Verizon is the only service that has any game up here, if I can ever find somewhere affordable to live that's not here I definitely will never have Verizon again and I will definitely tell everybody about this. That being said Verizon's big enough to not fail so I'm sure that they don't really even care

So these customer service people won't call me. I tell them my internet doesn't work and they tell me that I have to deal with them online. Am I the only one that sees the problem with that? I've responded every one of their messages after muggling my way through the internet with my slower than dial-up data connection it literally takes me more than 5 minutes to respond to their messages but I respond to everyone, and they still can't help me. I asked if they could call me they said no we deal with everything on here because it's a messaging platform. Well you're messaging platform is on a phone platform so you should call me. Ridiculous.

So I'm going you can look at my last post to see what's been going on, but now I got a couple angry sounding messages from Verizon talking about they're going to handle this privately in private chat, or if I want to talk on the phone since it's a social media team I have to call this number well guess what I called that number and it's the same number I've been calling that I keep getting hung up on and left on hold for half an hour at a time and then I call back and they're closed or whatever, so I'm done doing that. I just lost my job because of my poor internet made me unable to get my work done. So I'm going to be bored all day today and I'm going to keep checking my little stupid mailbox and maybe they can help me. I would love to be able to say that they actually came through since I've been paying them $70 a month for worthless

 service.
