I’m an old-time customer and I feel disrespected for having my hotspot taken away. I don’t care what anyone says, it was something I had that was taken away unceremoniously.

This happened to me too. What kind of scam is this? There was no notification I was aware of that switching to Unlimited would take away the hotspot. In fact, I thought the hotspot was a feature of the iPhone, not Verizon. But as some other customer said, looks like you hijacked it. I rarely use it so I don’t want to pay a monthly fee for it. However, it really comes in handy during power outages like today!! I can’t believe I’m paying more and getting less. This is ridiculous. It literally costs you nothing to allow hotspots. The phone does all the work. It’s just extending the signal already received. Very greedy move Verizon. And after all the trouble I had this week with your horrible tech support on another issue I am seriously considering ending my 22 year relationship with you!

I'm sorry to hear you feel this way about us caldera. We do not want to lose you after 22-years. I understand the need to use the Mobile Hotspot for additional internet connection on your other devices. The Mobile Hotspot is not a feature of the device, it's a feature we provide that your device allows you to use. You have to have the correct plan to use the mobile hotspot on your line. I hope you stay with our family, change your plan and enjoy the mobile hotspot as I enjoy it.
Do you have any questions? Would you like to discuss a plan change today?

Which plans have mobile hotspot? We have 5 phones on Start Unlimited. I don't even see mobile hotspot available as an add-on.

It clearly states what plans come with unlimited hot spot. You need to move up from start unlimited if you need that feature.

I spent an hour on the phone today, to resolve dropped call issues. They said it was because of my plan, too much data usage. So the rep came up with a solution, changed by plan. Now the personal hotspot disappeared. I was not told it wasn't included. I have been a verizon customer for over 10 years, with 5 lines, and monthly billing of about $350. So that is over $12,000 in fees.
- First they insult me with dropped calls because of to much data usage and they could have called me instead of my calling them.
- Then they changed my plan and dropped features.
So, it looks like I am going to another carrier. Enough is enough.
