Trying to buy Verizon phone on Samsung website but Verizon will not allow prepaid account

I have been trying to take advantage of a deal that was up on the Samsung.com/US website recently.  Samsung occasionally offers prices on new smartphones up to $400 cheaper than Verizon offers for its prepaid plan phones.

When I begin the purchase process on the Samsung website, it switches me over to a Verizon pop-up webpage, where I try to login with my Verizon account details. I can never get past this point because the Verizon login page will only accept user credentials for an unlimited plan. This happens with any device on the Samsung website.  As a result I cannot complete the purchase on Samsung.com/US.

I want to stay on my current $25 monthly prepaid Verizon plan, I don't need any of the features on an unlimited plan with all the extra expense.

So I have two questions resulting from this experience:

1) How do I buy a Verizon-linked phone on the Samsung website when Verizon won't let me login because I have a prepaid plan;

and if there is no way to do that (as it seems to me)

2) Can I just buy an unlocked Samsung phone (e.g. Galaxy Note 10+) directly from Samsung and have it work 100% without problems on my Verizon prepaid plan?

You can purchase an unlocked device from the manufacturer and activate it on your prepaid account. We do recommend using the BYOD tools, to ensure that the device will be compatible with out network. Tools listed below:

You have 2 options for a Postpaid account and an additional option for a Prepaid account. You can get one sent to you by going online and registering for new service as a Bringing Your Own Device option, or you can go to a Corporate Retail Location and get a SIM Card for free. If you have an existing account, then we can send you one at no cost as well.

For Prepaid accounts, you can also go to a Walmart, Target, Best Buy store and other locations to purchase a Prepaid SIM Kit that usually comes with a prepaid card to help start new service.

If you have existing service, we can definitely order a SIM Card for you. - ErichC_VZW

That is an excellent question. Follow the link below to start the process. It will help you get a SIM Card for the device, and check if the device is compatible with our network. Does this help?  http://spr.ly/6608H3glC
