I'm going back home for the summer (I'm in college), abroad. I'm likely switching my SIM card when I get there. I know that if I miss a Verizon payment, the service would be disconnected; I have funds in my account (auto-pay, pre-paid). If I take out my Verizon SIM card for two months, would it affect my Verizon phone number? Would removing my SIM for this extended period of time be a bad idea, even if I'm still paying for the plan? Or is it not an issue? I would not want to lose my current number and start over.
