Why is My New Account is Malfunctioning?

I activated my account online just now yet my phone is useless at the moment. I call in for technical support and all I get is the error message... "Announcement! 10 switch 3283 dash 3 ... all circuits are busy!". This just goes on and on too. It's an endless loop.

Anyone know what I can to do? I really need this phone before work tonight.

Extra info: I have a prepaid account with a LG Cosmos 3 Prepay as my device.

Was this a new line with a new number or a port in from another carrier?

Turn off, pull battery and wait 5 min.  Then reinsert battery and power back on.  It might take a moment for everything to register and activate.  888-844-7095 is the porting department who also handles activation issues.  Also, check your status here  Transfer Your Phone Number - Switch to Verizon Wireless

Thanks for trying to help. Pulled the battery and called that number. The problem remains exactly the same though. Same error message for that new number you gave me... Perhaps this 4 year old phone of mine somehow got damaged in the top of my closet?
