Hi bcasey! Some of the phones might work. The best way to find out is to actually try to activate them. The process is simple:
- From My Verizon Online, go under I want to… Device and select Activate or Switch Device.
- Select your mobile number and device and select Next.
- Select Next again.
- Read and Accept the Terms and Conditions.
- In the following screen you will be prompted to add the New Device ID and then Submit..
You can also dial *228 from one of the Alltel phones. When prompted by the automatic system, input the mobile number and the last four of the SSN or billing account password as set by the Account Owner. In either case, make sure that the mobile number you're using is not in service at the time you do it!
