soo i bought this verizon smartphone and have $60+ account balance....?

I got this phone at Walmart. It's a smartphone. Originally I was unaware that you couldn't just put unlimited texting on it, you had to have the whole $60 or $70 plan. So I added funds to my account from my debit card and now I have a balance of $60+ on my account. But when I text, it charges to that balance. How do I get the plan so that it DOES have unlimited call, text, and then whatever data? Customer Service isn't answering (It's 9:07pm here, Central Time). And I can't figure out how to do it from my phone or the computer. HELP?
