Bloatware

I dont know why but every time a new update comes out I get a load of cheesy and unwanted apps such as games of addictive manner. I want to stop the installing of these games to my device but can't seem to find a way to have Verison's "App Manager" from doing it against my wishes to have Bloatware installed to my device along with nessasary security updates.

If anyone has tips or tricks they have concocted I would be very happy to hear of them.

The only thing I've heard of is to disable the Verizon App Manager every time you get a software update and delete whatever apps you don't want.  With the App Manager itself being part of the Verizon carrier software, it can't be uninstalled.  Unfortunately, every carrier puts some kind of bloatware onto their carrier version phones and the only way to avoid it completely is to buy factory unlocked phones.

I have noticed this and hate when it happens as well.  I don't know how to prevent, but just delete them every time a new software update is pushed.

This really irritates me. A security patch and I get three bloatware games that I gave them no permission to install on my phone. I think we should call and say if this continues we're going to switch over to t-mobile. I know of no other way to get their intention then they're threatened to leave. Then if they don't stop this if we call the cancel and talk to an agent and tell them of our problem but in the end let them convince us to stay at least it will be recorded I know that's labor-intensive for us but I can't think of anything that has angered me as much as this with Verizon lately

I agree with you. I've been on Verizon for 30 years and this really p$sses me off. I hope someone will at least read this stuff and send it up the ladder
