Verizon Customer personal cell phone numbers being #hacked or hi-jacked for use by a third party. I have blocked many local numbers. I recently received two phone calls from two different elderly people. They left me messages that my number called them. The one number came up as a Mary Wright. Apparently my number came up as someone with the last name Wright on her end.

Hello. Thank you for reaching out to us on this platform. If people are receiving calls from your number that you didn't make, your number might have been spoofed. Scammers use voice over internet protocol (VoIP) technology to manipulate caller ID information to make it appear that they're calling from your number. This is also known as "neighbor spoofing" when scammers use a local number or area code. Tap on the link below to learn what can you do to prevent this from happening in the future.
