Last night in middle of the night someone was able to change my account at Verizon to a different phone that I never owned with a different imie number.
By changing the phone on the account my current phone was now on sos mode and no calls or text messages were able to come through.
It appears they were able to now hack all my accounts and somehow clone my phone and because of the 2 factor authentication now linked to a different phone all my financial accounts that I had on my phone were compromised at which point they tried to send wires from each of my accounts.
Most of the banking institutions caught the wires and froze my accounts before I even woke up but they were still able to get Bank of America to allow Zelle’s.
I have no idea how this happened and feel it must have been some kind of inside job because how else could my phone be removed from my account and a different phone be in its place??
this was an extremely well executed fraud with multiple issues. I am still locked out of my apple account and now have to fight to get some of my money back.
I would like to know how to get in touch with Verizon fraud higher ups to get a report on how this could have happened and need the report to. Provide to the banking departments.
