Suspicious account manager call

I received a suspicious call today from 251-xxx-xxxx and they told me I can “feel free to contact them if I have any questions or concerns about Verizon or my account as my account manager”. I was really suspicious so I reached out to customer care where they assured me everything was fine as long as I didn’t share any information. My account manager is my husband, and I used to work for Verizon and know the Verizon numbers, so I knew it wasn’t legit. I also know there’s nothing really that can be done unless something has been compromised. I’ll probably just block the number and any numbers in the future that call saying things along those lines. Just felt appropriate to make people aware that people can sound legit and not be.
