How do I block Area Code 350 and other non-USA or invalid area codes?

Spam calls are becoming more prevalent, despite being on the donotcall registry.  I would like to block invalid area codes, non-USA area codes, and accept only calls from 10 digit numbers in valid US area codes.  Can someone explain how to do this?  If it cannot be done, where is Verizon's suggestion box?  Thanks.

We don't like spam calls either, and want to help you stop them on your phone! We offer that block you're looking for via FamilyBase http://vz.to/1cbMlOA for an additional monthly fee. You may also be able to find and download an app that does the same thing.

I'm getting 3-7 calls per day from 714 area code (multiple phone numbers; more than five, constantly changing after a couple days).  My phone does not operate the program (old flip phone).  Why can't Verizon just terminate all phones calls from that area code on my phone at the Verizon office level?

I'm very sorry to hear you're receiving all of those bothersome calls. I know they would be annoying me so I can only imagine how you're feeling about them right now! Although we do not offer any service to block a specific area code we do have a service called FamilyBase that can stop any international calls. Blocking an entire area code IS possible... I used to be able to do it with Verizon a long time ago... for free... nothing complicated about it.  But Verizon discontinued this option for some unknown reason.  BottomLine:  It is possible, but Verizon refuses to do it.

If you are using an Android, there are many apps that block numbers very well to include area codes and country codes.  Mr Number by White Pages and Current Caller ID by WhitePages and WhosCall are 3 good apps.
