I downloaded the new 4.04 update, hoping it would fix the LTE connectivity issue. I turned LTE on in settings, I was able to browse for a minute then the connection dropped. No change from 4.02 to 4.04. The droid bionic I had before this phone had 4 bars 4g everywhere in my area but now I have to keep the phone on CDMA mode so I can make calls and to keep the battery from dying in 2 hours.

Not any consolation but Samsung devices are notorious for poor radio performance when compared to Motorola, HTC, etc. Motorola tends to have the best so that would explain why your Bionic would receive and maintain a more stable connection. Samsung really needs to start working on their radios.

The strange part is if i reboot the phone I will actually have 4g service for about a minute or two, then it will just drop. There is a verizon tower only a mile from my house so I should be getting full 4g.

Sounds like it's time for you to have Verizon swap it for another one or a different device.

I have the same issue. So have hundreds of others. I've gone through 4 replacements and all had the same issue. Good luck. Verizon needs to do something about this...

There are countless threads from users stating they have gone thru several Nexus phone and finally had Verizon swap it out for a Razr or Razr Maxx.

I called today after getting my 4th replacement with the same signal issues (4.0.2, 4.0.4 doesnt matter, i just keep having the same issues... call and then my data completely drops out and cuts off my call, cant even ### Send as requested. I did the ###Send probably 30 times today but the tech could only see three dropped calls... Yeah, you have to be able to connect the call to drop it people!

It seems like the lag issues with the rotating screen and typing have been resolved, but my signal connection may be worse.

Sounds like a class-action suit. This is ridiculous. Then Verizon has the nerve to end the grandfathering of unlimited data?! Greed... When my contract is over I'll take my business elsewhere.

Agreed! Contract is up in 4 months. If problem isn't fixed or Verizon hasn't at least ACKNOWLEDGED the issue by then... I am gone. Until then I will keep requesting replacements and costing them money until I get a working phone. I am tired of the constant delays due to "rigorous" testing yet hundreds (maybe thousands) of phones somehow got through with radios that constantly drop all signal, even with full bars of 4g.
