4G SIGNAL PROBLEMS

I am having issues with the 4G signal on my Galaxy Nexus. I had it sitting next to a RAZR that had 4 Bars of 4G LTE and my Nexus only had 3 Bars of 3G. I have heard of an update in the works, but I’m a little skeptical that a software update will get up to the signal strength of the RAZR. Regardless of which OEM has the better antenna this shouldn’t be this drastic of a difference. Is anyone else having this issue?

Try this experiment.
Using the SPEEDTEST app and the same test site, see what the download and upload speeds are for both phone sitting side by side. Please post your results.

Do not trust the bars... it is known that the indicator bars are showing lower than other phones.
you want to go Settings->About Phone->Status->Signal Strength and check the values on both phones. They should be either identical or very close to each other.
