Android 2.3 Gingerbread - WHEN!

the subject says it all.  Verizon is the last hold out for 2.3   Telus finally got it.  I don't care what product you have coming out.  If you can't support active product then you don't deserve my future purchases and renewed contract.  Especially, when the unlimited data plans are gone.

I'm hoping bug fixes for the missing or wrong sending /receiving of text messages.

An official Gingerbread release is highly unlikely at this point with all the new Android 4G phones coming out.  If you guys want GB to hold you over until your contract is up, or just don't want to drop big bucks on another phone there are "other options" out there.

The Fascinate is still a very good device as long as you don't run the official 2.2 (froyo) release.

Thanks, VZW, for releasing Gingerbread.  AND 4G in our area, bonus.  I understand Android is fragmented as an OS with so many devices.  I just hope you support future 4G devices, whether its Android or Windows 8 Phone.  It was disappointing waiting.

I understand other developers are out there.  I want want stability/security.  With Near Field Communications, I will be less apt to use such unofficial ROMs.  Been there done that, not again.  Then when things like CIQ occur I can hold someone accountable.

I like the Samsung Galacy Nexus.  Waiting for the end of my contract - upgrade.  Maybe, the bugs with ICS will be addressed and more devices.  Love the screen size.
