I Have Sent my Phone in 4 Times and they are having me send it in for # 5
They sent a NIB Phone last Time And I Activated it and with in 2 Hours it was Missing calls.
The Calls go to Voice mail after the 5th ring when I called and my Phone Does not Ring.
Until you hit power Button to Wake it up
If you are Having This Problem Please Post So we can see How Common and How many are having this Issue.

ED05 has fixed all problems on the phone
my phone has been off the bharger for 19 hours moderate use Calling ,web,email,texting all day
Still have 80 % Battery and have not had Any Missed Calls or texts
VERIZON --PLEASE RELEASE ED05---OR GIVE US A GOOD REASON WHY YOU ARE NOT

Didn't do the update to EDO4 after seeing all the **bleep** goign on with the update...BUT...I still miss texts and calls each day for some reason...phone also freezes up at least 1x per day...I remove battery...wait a few minutes and all is weel until someone calls me on the land line and asks why my calls are going to voicemail...I kick myself for not spending a little extra to get the iPhone4...myfriends talked me into this UN-Fascinate and now they are complaining about dropped calls, missed calls and missed texts...Waiting for my bonus in August and then going in to get the iPhone 4...

I tried the Wake Lock thing and I still missed a ton of calls today. Didn't seem to help. Is there a trick or something?

Seems like I have to reset it before i turn screen off
to get it to work so red button click first check than hit red button it will turn green than turn screen off

MY FAscinate is only about 2 months old. Miss call and texts. There has not been a update done to this phone.I read this forun alot so I have seen all the problems. so why bother it does not cure what is wrong with this phone. My husband did not see whyI wanted this phone so the words( I told you so) is being said. Just fix the problems or Verizon lets us have another phone at no cost or at a very low cost. Come on Verizon face up to your mistake. I guess samasung should be in this plea also.

Mine was doing the same thing.... but after 5 replacement phones VZW finally replaced with a Droid X, which turned out to be a brand new unit for a "replacement". Im running stock Gingerbread, I get my phone calls, and I get all my texts. I hope for all of you the Fascinate gets fixed. It was a great phone other than all that...

Count us in....we have 2 Samsung Fascinates and since recent updates, are now are the recipients of dropped calls, missed calls that go to voicemail (if the caller is patient enough to leave a message), missed text messages, severe battery drainage and screen locking up. That's all....only 5 major issues that we are paying dearly for each month (not including the $300 per phone we spent when we bought them only 7 months ago). We now get to receive replacement Fascinates shipped to us in 2 days but after reading these forums, I'm betting the problems will still exist!!! Hey Verizon and Samsung, you should be ashamed of yourself....you need to buck up & replace these phones with phones that have a different operating system as I'm betting that's the problem!

I have done all the updates and in the last six weeks my phone went to hell. It freezes up so you have to remove the battery. It won't end calls. I have frequent missed calls and texts. I have failed texted. My alarm does not work. I have factory reset and reprogrammed. I refused to have another crappy fascinate sent out. My mother has had the same problems and was able to get a comparable replacement. I attempted with the same lady she talked to and she wouldn't replace my phone but would send out another fascinate. I then hung up on her and called again this time very angry and all my ducks in a row. I finally got a person that would listen to me and my Droid x 2 is being sent out.

I think they Should recall the phones if they can not fix them
and save all there Coustomers the stress we are going through

I can't agree more! What an unethical company...I don't know why I'm not suprised they still sell the defunct Fascinate!
I find it very "fascinating" (no pun intended!) that some people are offered different phones by "luck of the draw" based on which customer service rep they speak to. Others go through dozens of agents without any reasonable resolution! Our state's attorney general has now sent on a letter of complaint to Verizon. I wonder if this will "encourage" Verizon to do the right thing?

I agree with Verizon replacing all fascinate phones. In reading some of the posts about people sending in their phones more then once and still having the problem I realize how lucky I am. I just know how frustrating it is. I am a nurse and rely on my phone for work. I was so upset tonight that I was going to make it my mission to call them numerous times a day until i was able to find a person that would help me. I know that when you do talk with someone that is helpful to get there name. I had a Nick out of Maryland and a Dustin from I don't know where that were awesome and immediately are willing to replace the phone.
I can tell you since having to factory reset my phone it now is working even worse then before so If you haven''t done a factory reset -DON'T!!!!!

I absolutely think Verizon should recall all the Fascinates until the problem is fixed. It's unbelievable that they shrug and won't take responsibility and refer you to Samsung. They sell, no, they push the bloody things (I was talked out of the X), they should take responsibility. We're paying 100s of dollars for God's sake. I've been thinking about contacting out Attorney General about this as well, since Verizon clearly won't recitfy the problem.

I got my Droid X2 on Friday the 8th and guess what I haven't missed a call or a text at all! Keep complaining my friends make them replace your phone with a different phone, don't accept no for an answer. I spoke to a supervisor named Rose, never got angry never raised my voice and she was very helpful and sent the new phone.

I talked to a Verizon customer support guy and he said:
1) it's Google's problem because it's an Android problem,
2) no, they can't replace the phone unless it's with another Fascinate (and they can only do that because the phone is still under warranty), and
c) there are thousands of people using Fascinates with no problem so the fact that there are "a few people" having problems doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the phone.
I was floored by his responses! Talk about feeling helpless.
I did download Softlocker and I don't THINK I've missed any calls since then, but I'm not sure. Every time I test call the phone, it does ring and I have received a number of real calls. However, my battery life is terrible. I've had everything except the phone turned off (data, gps, wifi, ...) and it seems to go from near full to nothing left every evening (earlier if I turn on anything). I downloaded JuiceDefender and have been running that but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I tried it on Balanced and Aggressive.

Ever since the update I don't get calls and no record of the call itself and can't get text messages....or at least on time. VERY FRUSTRATING....this is my second replacement. Going into store this week. This is my lifeline!!!!! I dont have any other phone!

I am randomly not recieving phone calls. Called tech support and they did a factory reset. the next day the same thing happened. Called tech support and they sent me a new phone(Same P.O.S fascinate). It just happened again. Called tech support. **bleep** wanted to to a reset again. I told them I only had like 4 extra apps installed and wasnt going to play this game. I want a new phone or out of my contract. I've been with VZW for over 8 years, This is the **bleep** the offered me 1) send me another POS Fascinate 2) give me a $50 credit and let me pick another phone 3) send me a droid X free. What kind of **bleep** is that. My phone is less than 8 months old. I think we need to join together and get a class action lawsuit going. ANy takers?

I've missed a couple of calls a day with no notifications of missed calls. Then I get voicemails hours after the missed calls with no notification icon.

I have had the same exact problem. I have went in the store and called technical support. They told me it was a call forwarding issue and to dial *73 to reverse the call forwarding. Each time, it has worked for a day and then somehow goes back to missing calls. I thought the update was supposed to make the phone better. I am really becoming aggravated, what good is it to have a phone if you are not going to be able to receive calls when you need them?
