Ok, had the original Droid and now I have the Samsung Nexus. I really do NOT like the idea that I have to look at email attachments separately from the email message, and that I have to load each one separately then go back to view each one separately. Does anyone know how to get the attachments to load like they should (without Wi-Fi).

Is that an app I need or what? I know I can't open .wmv files either. It
just says I don't have the correct app and to go to the market to get it.
Doesn't bother to tell me what I need.

When you had your Droid X it has Motoblur which is skins and applications preloaded by Motorola. Galaxy Nexus has what Google releases without any customizations. You will have to download from the Market a 3rd party app if you want your attachments to appear in the email app.

I'm not sure what that would be. This is how uneducated I am, when it just
came up the first time I went and downloaded a Flash player. Enough said.
What should I put in my search in the Market that would aim me in the right
direction?

There are other apps that may work. Someone will probably jump in later and have a better recommendation.

I wonder if this application would still be relevant to keep installed for the ability to download the attachments?

I looked at it and it says it only works for Gmail and I need it to work
for emails. I really thank you for the suggestion.

I used the Download All File app to download attachment with the stock Email app (not Gmail) on a DROID Eris running a CM6 or CM7 ROM. It also worked for the Email app on a stock HTC Thunderbolt. I haven't had the chance to use it on the Galazy Nexus.

Nothing has worked. I'm just waiting to look at any emails with attachments
on my laptop. This really sucks ;-(
