My boyfriend has the S3. He has one friend who also has verizon and cannot contact him. When I looked at his phone that persons number had a big circle with the X in it.. I assumed somehow he blocked his number because of the symbol, deleted and reenterd the contact. Afterward he is still not able to get calls from this person but can get texts. I spoke to my verizon rep and she told me the S3 has a "black list" built in where you can block numbers. But doesnt seem to know how to get to it, how to remove numbers, or even how to add them. Has anyone else encountered this?
I am going to assume that at one time the friend blocked your boyfriends number. If that is the case, then it doesn't really have anything to do with the phone. You can log into My Verizon and block and unblock numbers from there. So if he deleted the number and then reentered it, then it would still be a blocked number under the My Verizon blocked calls. He would have to unblock it from there. Hope this helps.
