Bluetooth doesn't seem to be working after taking the latest OTA software update.

Saturday I made the mistake of allowing my phone to install the latest software update. My fitbit logged steps all Saturday morning until I installed the update, and can't sync for the 4 days since. I've followed every suggestion I can online and nothing works. I've unstallled and reinstalled the fitbit app, power cycled dozens of times with every variation of bluetooth active/inactive and app installed/uninstalled. Rebooted my fitbit. At this point I'm convinced the problem is with my phone, but there's nothing I can do about rolling back to the last working software configuration. I can see other bluetooth connection options (my neighbor's apple TV, some laptops, but not the fitbit sitting on top of it. I tried a google search for the latest system update (N910VVRU2CQF2) to see if anyone else has had similar problems and the only posts are related to people having similar struggles connecting to what I think are bluetooth credit card scanners, all since Saturday morning.

Having the same exact problem. Android did a system update to N910VVRU2CQF2 on 8/8 and ever since I can't connect to my Vivofit fitness tracker via bluetooth on my Samsung Note 4. The tracker is fine since it can still connect to my Samsung tablet.

Same problem here. Right after the Android update on my Samsung Note 4, the Garmin Vivofit 2 stopped pairing.

Your posts tell me you've put in a lot of effort on this thus far, LOZLOSA. Having already reset those pairings, the next step is to run a repair
https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-80201/
I'm sorry this repair process may take up to 30-90 minutes. Let us know your results.

It looks like this is an issue with the bluetooth now, great update!
Having issues with my Pebble 2 reconnecting to my Note 4 after losing a connection, since this update.
If I can unpair my watch and re-pair the watch it will reconnect, the problem is the phone will not unpair 90% of the time. When I hit unpair in the phone and it just sends me back to the previous screen. I rebooted about 4 times, uninstalled and reinstalled the pebble app twice. Very frustrating. I try to connect through the app and the bluetooth starts turning on and off.
I got the phone to finally unpair, reinstalled the app and it finally connected....took me 2 hours of futzing with it.

I had a call from my mother late 8/12 in regards to her Fitbit and Square Reader not working. I figured it was my mom being a mom and simply having issues understanding technology.
I go to her home yesterday and am unable to pair any Bluetooth devices. Look in the update history and lo and behold, Verizon recently pushed a new update.
Google the issue and here is this thread.
I am confident that Verizon wants to make sure that all issues are resolved as new updates should make all services work faster and better. Also I feel assured that Verizon feels that being able to use your phone with your Bluetooth devices is important.
I am not so sure if anyone at Verizon has a Note 4 and took this update. I am also not sure if Verizon Wireless Customer Support has forwarded any of these complaints along or are simply handing out generic troubleshooting steps without having the issue investigated further. I don't feel that enabling safe mode and resetting the network settings is a proper permanent fix that meets the needs of your diverse group of customers.

My Samsung Note 4 is able to pair with my Kia Soul BT phone system, even after recent update. It seems only to have messed with my Garmin Vivofit 2 BT connection.

We understand how important it is to stay connected with your blood pressure monitor. I am sure we will figure out what is going on. Are you able to connect to any other Bluetooth device? What happens when you try to pair the device?

Why do I feel as if all the responses are the same regarding bluetooth issues and the Verizon Wireless update? What I see is a lot of customers jumping through hoops and I find it hard that as large as Verizon is that they aren't testing it out themselves.
I just want my Vivofit to pair up with my phone. What can I do without everything else you have suggested to everyone else. I have tried it, it doesn't work, don't ask me to repeat what isn't working for anyone else.
Thank you,

I have the same problem. Updated my Galaxy Note 4 and my fitbit surge won't sync with the phone anymore. I called fitbit and fussed at them thinking it was them but then I synced my watch to my work iphone with no issues. Please send out a fix my device is useless if I can't sync to my phone.

AVESHAMARIE,
We want you to enjoy being able to use your phone. We checked and weren't able to confirm any Samsung verified issues with the software for the phone. Are you able to connect any other Bluetooth device to your phone? What troubleshooting was completed with the Fitbit support team?

The Bluetooth works fine for most things - just not the Fitbit and at least
one other. In the Verizon forums there are many people with the same issue.
Will there be a fix written?

I can no longer sync/pair my Garmin Vivofit 2 on my Galaxy S5 since the Verizon update. My Withings watch does sync, however.
Is there a patch we can download to repair the Bluetooth issue causing these problems?

JOAN912,
We want to make sure you are able to sync your Vivofit with your phone. Let's look into ways we can fix this. Have you tried putting your device in Safe Mode and then syncing your devices? Click here to learn how: http://spr.ly/65828auaQ .

I put my Galaxy S5 in Safe Mode and tried to pair, but it still says it cannot communicate with the Vivofit 2. It does list it in the list of Available Devices, but pairing always fails.
What next? Can a new update be released which corrects the BT pairing issue?

I downloaded the Garmin Connect app onto my iPad, and was able to successfully pair and sync my Vivofit 2 to the iPad. Fortunately, it had captured both sleep and step data from the days I was not able to connect to my Galaxy S5.
It seems that it was the rollout of the Verizon software that caused the BT failure, not the Garmin application.

Same here, Fitbit Flex and fast charging both not working after the latest OTA update on a Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Various other Bluetooth items also stopped working immediately after the update.

Same here. Having us repeatedly run reset and repair routines for what is clearly a prematurely released software update is not happy making. Yo, Verizon: we need a corrective release.
