I'm having trouble with the shorcuts in the camera app. I can change the buttons at the top to the settings I want but when I open the app again (or restart the phone) they revert back to the defaults. I tried clearing the camera app data in "manage applications" but that hasn't fixed the problem.

Lets take a look at those shortcut settings. After all, the options are set in place to make picture taking easy! I researched and found no similar concerns to what is happening with the shortcut options on your device. Are you using any other camera applications? I recommend enabling safe mode (steps http://bit.ly/O9HGxf) then adjusting those shortcuts while in safe mode to determine if they stick. If so, we know a third party application is causing the issue and I recommend removing any recently installed apps or recently updating apps. Keep me posted!
