I would like to try a Consumer Cellular sim card in my Verizon Galaxy S5. From what I understand in order to even attempt it, I must get my S5 unlocked. So how do I get is unlocked from Verizon? Has anyone else use the Consumer Cellular sim card in their S5?

Consumer Cellular works on ATT's GSM network and on other bands or channels then Verizon, however if you had an S5 from ATT it could work with the correct SIM card installed. But in your case a phone from Verizon will not work operate.

Thanks GalaxyClass. I appreciate your quick response. In the Samsung.com chat I was told that as long as my phone was unlocked it will work on any network since the S5 is a global phone. I would like to see if I can find someone who has attempted it. In another forum some said they were able to use it but not get LTE data. I'm not doubting what you stated, but would like to confirm if anyone has tried it.

The S5 is global capable and Verizon phones are unlocked, however there are radio issues where you can not use the phone you have now and it features. Why not sell the phone you have and purchase one from ATT or Consumer Cellular. Good luck
