Can't send emails on my S5. Sends fine from gmail, but won't send from verizon account. Keep getting "Sending Failed" message.

My S5 won't send emails from my verizon email account, which is the default email for my phone. It will send fine from gmail, but when I try to reply to messages in the verizon account, I get a "Sending Failed" message and an eternal loop from my outbox trying over and over to send the message. Does anyone know how to fix this? I took it to the Verizon store for help, and they were completely useless.

Let's make sure you are able to send emails, PennersMom. Have you removed and re-added the email address? Do you experience any problems sending an email with your Verizon account through a computer? Have you noticed if you are able to send emails when connected to cellular data or WiFi?

I have no problems with my verizon account on a computer, and I can send new emails from my phone; I just can't reply or forward. The Verizon tech I called had me turn off the wifi and it works when its only on 4G. But it's going to be a real nuisance to remember to turn off the wifi every time I want to reply to an email!

I am having the same problem with my Verizon.net email I can receive emails but when I tey to send I get message failed error. I have loaded manually with the help of tech support with Verizon tech support when I discovered I could not send I unloaded and reloaded several times still get message failed.

I want you to be able to get all of your emails! Since you are able to send and receive emails with your other email account, let's focus on your Verizon email. Are you able to use it on your PC with no problem? I would suggest removing and readding the email account, or logging out and then logging back in. This function resets the email. Please let me know how this goes, and provide any additional information if needed.

The tech help is useless. You have to load it manually but you must know the ports to use for both sending and receiving. You must get them from your Verizon fios account. This worked for me.

I am having the same problem. I can reply and forward from gmail but only original emails, not replies or forwards, are sent from my Verizon email. I have been to VZW twice for three hours total and the problem is not fixed. They have removed and added the VZ account and input the server and port info. Emails still fail to send. Verizon, please help!

I tried to reply to your email on the phone and it did not send... again...I use the email ap. It started about a week after I got the phone on 1/3/15. VZ email works fine on my laptop. It won't reply or forward on the phone. what do I do?

Scottishlass, hmm that is quite interesting. Have you attempted to remove and re-add the email back to the account? Take a look here to see how http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-98661/. As well, what type of email account is it that we're working with? Are you aware if you have the correct email settings provided by the service provider?

The VZ techs have deleted and re-added the VZ email account twice, set servers and pop addresses. Works fine on laptop. Gmail works fine on phone. It's a VZ email PROBLEM. It wont foreard or reply. I have spent 3 hours at VZW stores for help and no success. VZ needs to fix this.

Can you tell me exactly how you fixed your problem? I'm having the same issue. Verizon.net email will not reply or forward.
