Can't send text messages after 4.3 update

As the title says, this morning my S4 downloaded a software update from Verizon. Ever since I have been unable to send text messages, I will try to send a message and it fails, I try to re-send and same thing. This has been happening all morning. Tried to clear my messaging and deleting cache ect. Nothing has helped. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated thanks.

I would like to add that I have 5 bars and full 4G where I am, so signal is not part of the problem.

Did you reboot the phone? Pull the battery and SIM card for a minute, reassemble and boot up the phone?

I've re-booted the phone. Haven't tried pulling the sim card and battery I will try that during lunch. Thanks.
