I can't turn off the sound for email notifications since the April upgrade. I want to keep sound on for text messaging. I have been on the phone with a Verizon rep for over two hours yesterday. Gone to the Verizon local store today. Was at Best Buy yesterday and today with a Samsung rep. Everytime we think we get it fixed it continues to ping sounds and looks like it continues until I open the notifications. Please help. I only want sound notifications for my text...

riri51, I'm sorry to hear that you've had such challenges turning off your email notification. Software updates should help, not hinder. Let's get this solved. What email app are you using? Did you try to turn off the notification with the steps that bearone21 gave? If so, what were your results?
