Connectivity Issues?

I recently switched from a Droid Razr to the S4 and I just want to see if there see if this is a trend... granted, I work in a basement where the signal is not the greatest, but I have zero connectivity to the mobile network down there.  With my Razr I had at least one or two bars all the time, so I cannot send or receive texts, make calls, etc.  Has anyone else had these issues?  My WiFi also frequently disconnects and reconnects, which is super annoying and frustrating.

There are multiple wifi issues with the S4. I have noticed that it connects and disconnects a lot, independent of signal strength.

I want you to be able to enjoy the performance of your Samsung Galaxy S4 just as much, or even more than your previous device!  Yes, certain locations and structures, such as below ground level, can hinder wireless signal.  Are you using a glove or case with your device?  If so, I recommend testing with it removed.  I would also suggest testing with the device powered up in "Safe Mode" http://vz.to/13C9Tpc.  This way we can see if the problem is application related.  Please let me know the result of your testing.  Thanks!

I have been using a case - I removed it this morning, and so far, so good...

Thanks for the advice!

I bought and use a I-BLASON case and don't have any issues with connectivity Just in-case you want to try a new case. It's got a soft silcone wrap and a hard plastic that hits each corner and the center. No Heat issues or reception issues.

I have a silicone case that was in the package I bought from VZW.  With the S4 I have a much weaker 3G/4G signal than I had with the original Stratospher.  Could the case have something to do with that?

Based on his results and the Verzion rep about it sounds like it...

Would there potentially be some kind of fix for this?  Sounds pretty similar to the iPhone situation of a few years back.

I have four networks at home and it will not connect with any of them UNLESS I take off the security.   This is not "the case".  I can connect with any non-secure network (Lowes/ Hotels/etc).  I use NetGear and we have tried all different settings.   I was on with the Samsung help desk for an hour and half. They basically said "wait for an upgrade to the OS".   I have had a droid phone for over 6 years and never a problem until now.
