For whatever reason, my wife's S7 reset itself unexpectedly (Doesn't have a passcode set so it wasn't too many wrong passcodes), wiping years of pictures from the device. Is there any way to recover them after the fact?
Not looking for "Should have backed it up," believe me, she didn't want to hear that when I said it.
Thanks in advance.

Nope. There is no way to recover the data that was wiped during a factory reset. Did you already check Google Photos under her Google account to verify the pictures weren't backed up there? In setting up the phone again, you might want to set that up just in case.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Can they recover data from the internal storage, though?
