I did several full backups of my phone with Titanium Backup (user and system data) reformatted the user/data partitions, and the cache partitions, essentially a factory format.
Luckily all my issues are gone. I did a "restore" of existing user/system data via TiBu.
I am running the "broken" mulit-window version with no issues.
Might not work for everyone, but worked for me.
