oh, and, funny story. I told myself I would never be an early adopter, but forgot when the fascinate was supposed to release. I went into the verizon store just to see if it was even out, yet. I bought the phone not even knowing it had only come out that week, but knowing it was technically "behind the power curve" not having froyo. the main reason being it performed better, and was easier to use, also being more asthetically pleasing than the incredible, and motoblur phones I'd tried in the store (mainly OG droid and droid x). it also had many capabilities (true hands free dialing, for example), that other 2.1 devices could only dream about. fast forward almost 6 months, and I still love this phone. a factory reset after the dl09 update made all the common issues pop up for me (though this might have been at least partially my fault), and this is the only reason I switched to froyo early. I now wish I could update to eb01, but my windows computer has died, and linux hasn't been properly equipped to do the update. I still love this phone, even with other phones having 2.3, now, I just don't care. this phone blows away most, if not all the 2.3 phones on 2.1, that's just how good it is.
