I am beyond irritated that as the flagship of exactly one year, Verizon continues to provide less than vague answers as to when we will be receiving this update. I used to laugh at Sprint as a provider and swore that I'd never consider AT&T again as an option. However, I have been awaiting Android 5.1.1 since June this year and have watched carries such as Spring and AT&T release 5.1.1 to their customers. At this point, considering I pay about $125/month, I have been investigating other carriers and their service records and can honestly say, I am considering paying the fee to break my contract with Verizon to receive support and tech that keeps current. In my estimation, Verizon should be offering credit to those of us that have been waiting months to receive this update to our [removed] devices which haven't worked properly since 5.0.1 was released. I've been a customer with Verizon for 10+ years and can honestly say I have never been so disappointed with the service or lack thereof. Get with it Verizon. Stop treating your customers, whom are probably paying the highest bills based on the handset of their choice, like second rate piles of [removed].
I'm rather curious how much time and money was spent on Verizon creating their fancy new logo - perhaps the developers, designers and others on that team should have focused their energy on testing and releasing the update for their note 4 customers.
VERIZON FAIL!!!!!

I agree they need to take back all of the note 4's and give us devices that
actually work because we do pay good money to have a working phone

So I think Lollipop may have actually damaged my hardware. The default file manager on my Note tells me that I have 32GB internal storage and that 18GB is used. Most of that 18GB is used by "Other." I downloaded an app to see what might be using my space, and did find some stuff I could delete or move to my SD card, but I also noticed something strange. The app told me I had about 9.5GB used and 14GB free. That's 24GB total storage. Just to make sure, I downloaded another disk usage app and got the same result: my internal storage has been reduced to 24GB total. Now, maybe the missing 8GB is system, but that's hard to believe, and why would the default file manager say I still have 32GB? I think I may have to actually use my insurance and get another Note 4 and go through the hassle of transferring my stuff.
My guess is that the 18 GB in "Other" is the unneeded part of what Verizon used to transfer your files from a previous phone to your GN4. I had about 8-10 GB. It can be safely deleted.

I wouldn't use your insurance I would make verizon send you a different
note 4 that would save you some money and that sounds like a Verizon issue
on your note 4

(I'm assuming you're replying to me.)
I would make them do that, but my warranty expired in November. I'm pretty sure the insurance is a free replacement. It's the $9/mo one that Verizon provides. Anyway, if Verizon were to send me a new phone, I would have to do a factory reset first, and I am not going to do one of those again, unless absolutely necessary. The other times I did one, there was always something that didn't back up, even when Kies said it did.

Zach, call VZW Executive Customer Relations. They are sending me a brand new Note 5 for free, no contract extension, no change to my renewal/upgrade date.

I just wished I liked the Note 5 . If I did, that would be an amazing option. Do you know if it's possible to get another brand? What did you ask?

I presently have the Note 4. I'm not fond of the Note 5 with no expandable memory and no removable battery, but if it (the note 5 with OS 5.1.1) functions better than my note 4 running 5.0.1 and it's free, and I have 2 weeks to 'test drive' it before sending back either the note 4 or the note 5 (if I don't like it) and my contract is not renewing, then I'll take it for the next 10 months until I can leave verizon.

Chances are the S7 is going to be another S6. Samsung seems to have gone the way of iPhone, with prettier phones, but no real improvement between generations.

When I called they didn't do anything. Sent me to tech support who told me to reset my sim card.

That was pretty much my experience, although tech support actually knew less than customer relations. I think you actually have to ask outright.

Zacharee1, pardon the interruption, we noticed you are having some challenges with your device. We would love to see what we can do to assist. What seems to be the concern? I see you stated your warranty expired in November, we may have other options available for you. Have we done any troubleshooting as of yet? Have you tried to reinstall the software from a boot up screen? Follow us on Twitter or Facebook and we will be happy to get deeper into this for you.

I have already called customer support at least 5 times, and every time they say to do a factory reset, which I have done twice. I've tried the factory reset, I've tried Safe Mode, I've tried wiping the cache partition. I've done pretty much everything except work with a clean install (which is an impossibility for me), and that doesn't seem like it's working for others anyway. (Even if it did help, what would be the point of having a smartphone that can only make phone calls?) I've called executive customer relations and have just gotten the factory reset option. For me, there is nothing more to try. It's impossible to get through to you on Twitter. I've tried at least 10 times and have gotten no response. I haven't tried Facebook, but I don't think I'll be given any steps I haven't yet tried.

When is 5.1.1 coming out or 6.0? This really is a Verizon fail. Other "fixes" doesn't fix the updates that should have been here over a month or two ago.
Thank you,
