Have to restart daily and apps stop working

My S5 is almost 2 years old. The last few months I've had to restart the phone to get 4G and cell to work at least once per day. Today I'm on the 2nd restart in an hour. I've noticed some posts that I may need a new SIM card, so I guess I may try this.
Also, since the last update, apps just stop working and I get the notice to say Report or OK. The weird thing is they don't stop working when I'm using them. I'll just pick up my phone and look at it, the message comes up. The screen has gotten slow to respond to my touch too.
Not sure if my phone is just having too many issues all at once or what. Haven't yet tried to factory reset, will try that tonight. Any other suggestions or if anyone else has any of these issues, please let me know if you have found how to fix them.

I am sorry to hear that you are having signal and application issues with your Samsung S5, titianfire. Does your signal fluctuate to the point you need to restart in all areas? Have you updated all your applications? Also, Sim cards are free and that is what sends and receives your 4G signal. I would swap out the Sim card and update my applications to see if this corrects the signal issue. Also, please delete any applications that you are not using. Please keep us posted on your testing.
