How do I Turn Off Basic voicemail on an S5?

Thank you ann154, called CS from different phone and they took care of my request. They informed me when and if I need the voicemail again in the future is to just call them and it will be enabled again.

I don't think you can turn it off. It's a basic service from Verizon. You can use somethings like visual voicemail as a substitute, but I don't know any way to have no voicemail attached to your account.

Actually there might be a way. I don't know if it is still available to request though. If it is a new line, if the user never sets up their voicemail it would be dropped from the line. The customer might also be able to call customer service at 1-800-922-0204 from a landline or *611 from another Verizon phone and request the voicemail feature be removed from the line.

Glad to hear it. My buddy did the same thing. He had it removed from his line.
