How do I manually push through the update??? Help please!

So....I have been missing calls randomly, not all the time, but enough to be annoyed. I called Verizon yesterday, who then had me reset the phone and take out the battery, all of which I have already done myself..The CSR had me check my hardware version, which reads I500.04. She stated I should be at I500.05. Either way I'm missing calls, but I would like to be at the most current update, otherwise they sound as though they are not going to help me in having the phone replaced, even with a same/like new model. I'm also pretty sure that there is a post out here with it, but MYLANTA are there a lot of posts, so if someone could be so kind as to help me out, I sure would appreciate it. If this does not work you will have to activate a different smartphone (to keep your data plan) and then reactivate your fascinate

and it will update for you

 

I know this is a lot of hassle to update your phone 

This Phone has never been good about update's  A lot of people have this problem

I actually did all of that yesterday, by pulling the battery, I had to reactivate my phone, and still no update. Also, nothing in my settings>about phone>system updates>check new.....so wonder what I do now?
