I tried several messenger apps but all end up copying to my corporate email (MS Exchange). How do I prevent SMS from copying to email?

Under your e-mail app, is your work e-mail set to be your default / primary?? Are you trying to copy them to your personal e-mail? If so, you need to set your personal e-mail as your default e-mail address.

Yes, my work email is the primary account. I don't want to copy any messages to any emails, just keep them where they are, thanks.

Can you elaborate then on how or what is happening or the messages that come up when your text get copied into an e-mail?

TXT messages are showing up on my corporate email account with "from" showing senders phone number. I changed messaging apps but that hasn't resolved the issue. I can't find a messaging setting to stop forwarding messages.

Is it always from the same person? Or every text message is coming to your e-mail?

No, it's anyone sending me TXT messages.

There was a setting in the email application or the default sms app to send sms to the email on Samsung phones. Check there and turn it off.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

And you used iMessage? You need to log into your iTunes account and un-sync or deactivate your iMessage account. If you do a Google search I'm sure there are steps, but if you go from iPhone to Android and used iMessages there is usually some work that needs to be done after to ensure you get your text messages correctly.

Ok, thanks. I will check and report back on a possible solution if this can help others.

Fix iPhone iMessage Not Sending Texts To Non-Apple Phones - Business Insider
You didn't disable it before switching, which means the folks who's text are ending up in your inbox will most likely need to do something on their end.

This is of course assuming their texts are going to your e-mail and not on your phone at all.

Ok, I finally have the answer to this issue. It wasn't because I had an iPhone (iMessage was disabled anyway). It turned out to be a primary corporate account (MS Exchange) set up issue. All the way at the bottom of MS Exchange set up option is one to sync messages (check mark or not). I must have checked it the first time around (thinking messages meant email and not TXT). Once MS Exchange is installed the option is no longer available in Settings.
