The NFL app is free but in order to watch videos you have to subscribe to VCast video service. About ten bucks a month a think (ripoff).
About the mass storage. When you plug your device in via USB to your computer you should see on the screen the steps to start this. Then go into My Computer on your PC and your device should be there as a drive letter. From there you can copy files between the two.
