I am not receiving texts?

The texts that I send go out fine. However, I am not receiving any texts back. I was driving Saturday and received eight texts at once that had happened over the two days prior. And I am not receiving any texts now. Has this happened to anyone else?

It's usually 1 of a few things.
You need a new SIM card.
Service troubles in the area.
Something to do with the people sending them; though this is unlikely because it sounds like it's numerous people who could be on various carriers and all in different parts of the states.
You need to clear your cache and data on your messaging app
You need to update the messaging app or you need to uninstall an update if there was one recently

Are you able to make and receive phone calls?
When you were driving did you notice what type of service you had? 1x, 3g, 4g? How many bars?
Are you currently back home where you know to have service or still on the road?

Phone calls are coming in and going out fine. I got another text dump
today at 1300hrs with 11 texts.
I am currently and normally run in between 2 and 4 bars for 4g service.
My service seems to stay the same in most areas. I missed texts on Sunday,
and there is a verizon tower about 2000 feet from my office.

Thanks for all of the helpful details. It's imperative we help resolve this today. Can you clarify which messaging applicaiton you're using with the device? Has anything new been added to the device recently?

Thanks for looking into this problem. I am using the verizon messaging
app. I have not added anything new to the phone recently. However, apps
are always updating. I know that several have updated in the past week.

Okay. I have cleared both the data and cache and I am restarting now. I
will see how that goes. If that doesn't work I will uninstall and
reinstall.

You can't uninstall as Message+ is a stock app, you can check the google play store for an update. If there isn't one then see if you can uninstall the latest update (it won't install the app, just the latest update)
