I would like to block a contact from being able to both text and call me.

You can block it on My Verizon or by calling customer service, that easy.

There are a lot of options to block numbers. You can contact Customer Service and request it by person or by the automated system. This way you have five free blocks that last for three months before removing themselves. Or you can add usage controls for 4.99 a month and have up to 20 blocks that won't come off unless you want them too. You also want to make sure that if you have an Iphone your also turning off your imessaging since blocking the number won't block the Imessaging feature from Iphone to Iphone.

Yeah, plus that.  The usage controls blocks it both ways so you can't call them, they can't call you, but that doesn't take care of the iMessage as the previous member stated.  Why the blocks only lasted for 3 months boggles me, if you got a crazy ex 3 months won't make them stop being crazy.

I have set a reminder on my calender to go in and block the number again in

three months. With only one number that I want to block this is easier to

do.
