I ran across this new launcher (Only for ICS) that hasn't been released on the market just yet but can be got from the developers at this time..

Custom Grid
Configure the rows and columns to fit all your app and widget needs.

Keep all your favorite apps on the dock, with up to 7 icons per page and up to 3 pages.
Scroll Effects
Enjoy eye candy when scrolling your desktop and drawer. Effects include Cube and Cardstack and more for Prime users.
Infinite Scroll
Never be far from your favorite page, loop through your desktop continuously.
Folder Icons
You can chose a background, preview style or even replace the whole icon.
Backup/Restore
Export your settings and layout before a wipe to quickly get back up and running.
Nova Launcher Prime Features (Paid version)
Gestures
Quickly start Nova Actions or Apps from gestures on the desktop, such as pinching, swiping or two-finger swiping.
Hide Apps

From what I see, it isn't comparable at the moment but if you want a costume launcher but still keep features from the original UI I think this would catch your flavor.. But the developer is still adding features so I see most or all features from ADW coming..

Its a great launcher. Been using it since the beta and decided to buy it to show support for the Devs. If you are not planning on rooting your phone or you do Nova launcher is the best out right now. You can customize just about anything. download the free version and give it a try. You can always go back to stock launcher. I can't speak about ADW and not sure i ever will.

This launcher gets a ton of hype and I can't figure out why.
It's no better than any other 3rd party launcher.
I prefer go launcher if only because it has a menu button and I don't have to waste a dock slot for the settings menu or leave an icon on my homescreen.
Go launcher also has gestures for the dock icons, you can alter the grid size, widget size, does wallpaper and dock loops, and it has a swipe up/down of the screen to launch 2 additional apps.
